Tena Tena Camp, Zambia
Tena Tena is the only fully tented camp within the boundaries of the South Luangwa National Park. Located in the remote Nsefu region where no permanent structures are permitted, the camp is dismantled each year before the start of the rains and re-built in May when it is once more possible to cross the river.
The Camp
Accommodating only 8 people, the camp is situated in a grove of mahogany trees high above the Luangwa River and enjoys the season-long shade of the tall evergreen trees. As it faces due west, there are the most spectacular sunsets each evening.
